2nd Grade, 3rd School
Cole started 2nd grade today at Dilworth Elementary, which is now the 3rd elementary school on his resume due to re-zoning this year. Didn't bother him...note the Dilworth t-shirt to show his instant loyalty...and Cole is game for anywhere as long as the bus takes him there. It was a bit late today (Cole is perched on the brick wall watching for it), but it eventually made it...must have been that long haul from his new school.

Scooter Out, Bike In
Jessie blogged that Henry was all about the bike after the Hilton Head trip. Ditto for Cole. He was always partial to the scooter and had not taken to the bike...we had not even removed the training wheels. Not so anymore...and yes, those are jammies.

7
Cole turned 7 a couple of weeks ago. He had a baseball game that night and received the 'game ball' for his performance. His birthday party was last weekend at Carolina Baseball Center - he had a great time w/ his ball team playing pickle, hitting in the cages and eating pizza and cookie cake. Thanks to Aunt Jessie for the great party invite...for other great invite options, visit http://www.announcementstoponder.blogspot.com/.

Spring Break 2010
Cole wanted to go to basketball camp during his week off from school. He was one of the smallest kids there, but didn't let that stop him. Note the Utah Jazz jersey (he's playing at the playoff-bound Charlotte Bobcats practice court).
Spring Baseball
Opening day was last Saturday - Cole is on the Braves this Spring and his team is 2-3. He is a completely different ball player this season - he was always a good player (he had zero strikeouts his first season in coach pitch), but his focus and hustle left something to be desired. He was the only kid last season that was booted from his position mid-inning...it was pitcher and had something to do w/ once a ball was hit he decided he no longer needed to pay attention. He's in it to win it this year...maybe has something to do w/ turning 7 in a couple of weeks. He was even referred to as 'bit hitter' yesterday when he got up to bat. Go Braves!

holey 100 days
Cole had his 100th day of school a week or so ago. Jim and Cole made this t-shirt w/ 100 Cheerios glued tightly to the front. And to the back. Unfortunately they didn't put anything inside the shirt while they were working and the glue managed to seep through to the back of the shirt. I ripped it apart so Cole could wear it - what you don't see here is the back is full of holes.

Christmas in Chicago
Cole was able to spend some QT w/ Kenzie, Mason and Chewbacca over Christmas. Every morning when Grandma left for work, she would put Chewy in bed w/ me and Cole. Cole loves Chewy, Chewy is cautiously fond of Cole. She is especially happy w/ him when they're both asleep...
